I am a Ph.D. student in humanities at Florida State, and I also work full-time there. I am originally from the Syracuse, NY area and received my undergrad in anthropology from Ithaca College, and masters in international affairs from FSU.
Good article. Especially since I'm about to hop a plane next week. :) :) :) :)
I might also recommend that if you do have a passport, check its validity BEFORE you travel. I had no idea that kids under 18 are issued junior passports that are only active for 5 years. That was fun when I was in France and didn't realize my passport had expired. The process was not fun, and neither was the interrogation I got at the airport coming back to the States, BUT I now have a passport that says it was issued in Paris, France. I'll be sad when it expires in 2009.
